Applications

Who can apply?

The double master's program is primarily aimed at students with a legal background, in particular graduates of the "Erste Juristische Prüfung" (First State Examination). Students who take part in the spring session of the Erste Juristische Prüfung in Berlin can already be enrolled for the following winter semester as the second semester of the Double Master's Program and can complete the first section of the Double Master's Program parallel to the preparation for the oral examination.

The first semester comprises courses in the core curriculum (which students with a first law examination are credited with), the Chinese language course and attendance at a three-week summer school. Detailed information on the program, including module descriptions and study plans, can be found in the study and examination regulations

Application requirements:
First law examination or Bachelor/Master's degree from a European university in law or another subject (e.g. Sinology, Asian Studies); good knowledge of German and English at level B2 or C1.

Admission rules:
Admission is based on the subject-specific access and admission rules of the Humboldt-University (Fächerübergreifenden Satzung zur Regelung von Zulassung, Studium und Prüfung der Humboldt - Universität zu Berlin, pages 376-378).
