Legal tech in the judiciary?

On May 27, the workshop "Legal Tech - New Ways for the Judiciary, Too?" took place, organized by the Federal Ministry of Justice and Consumer Protection together with the Federal Office of Justice and the German Judicial Academy. In various blocks, the participants discussed what impact the digitalization of legal counsel and law enforcement has on the judiciary - and how the judiciary itself can use new technologies.
Professor Rühl, together with Dr. Wiebke Voß from the Ruprecht Karls University, Heidelberg, led the block on the proposals currently under discussion for modernizing civil proceedings. The focus was on the creation of a central, nationwide justice portal on the one hand and the introduction of accelerated online proceedings on the other.
