Max-Planck-Humboldt-Forschungspreis für Prof.in Surabhi Ranganathan
"Wir freuen uns sehr, dass Professorin Surabhi Ranganathan (Universität Cambridge) für ihr Projekt „Ways of Worldmaking: The Global South and the (Re)Imagination of Global Ocean Governance“ mit dem höchste renommierten Max-Planck-Humboldt-Forschungspreis 2025 ausgezeichnet wurde. Der Preis zielt darauf, Zusammenarbeit mit deutschen Forschenden zu stärken - und Professorin Ranganathan wird das Preisgeld von 1,5 Millionen Euro nutzen, um eine Forschungsgruppe an unserer Fakultät aufzubauen. Dies geschieht in Zusammenarbeit mit Professor Philipp Dann und eng angebunden an die Kollegforschungsgruppe „Reflexive Globalization and the Law: Colonial Legacies and their Legacies in the 21. Century“.

'We are happy to announce that Professor Surabhi Ranganathan (University of Cambridge) was just awarded the most prestigious Max Planck-Humboldt Research Award 2025 for her project ‘Ways of Worldmaking: The Global South and the (Re)Imagination of Global Ocean Governance’. The price intends to foster collaborations with German research institutions - and Professor Ranganathan will use the prize money of 1.5 Million Euro to set up a research group at our law school. She will do so in collaboration with Professor Philipp Dann and in collaboration with the new Center of Advanced Studies ‘Reflexive Globalization and the Law: Colonial Legacies and their Legacies in the 21. Century’.
