Berlin Institute for Empirical Integration and Migration Research (BIM)

The interdisciplinary legal research of the Chair of Law and Migration is affiliated with the Berlin Institute for Empirical Integration and Migration Research (BIM). Prof. Pauline Endres de Oliveira leads the Law and Migration department at BIM.

BIM develops scientific principles and empirical data to substantiate the debate on migration issues in Germany and Europe. The starting point for interdisciplinary research at the BIM is the question of how integration and migration processes have evolved in Germany and Europe to date and how they will develop in the future. The institute has a cooperative structure; it aims to establish integration and migration research on a broad basis in Berlin. Its research contributes to the transfer of knowledge to politics, civil society and the media.

Further information on the Institute's personnel and work can be found on the BIM homepage.
