Vita

Florian Jeßberger ist Inhaber des Lehrstuhls für Strafrecht, Strafprozessrecht, Internationales Strafrecht und Juristische Zeitgeschichte sowie Direktor des Franz-von-Liszt-Instituts für Internationales Strafrecht der Juristischen Fakultät der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin. Seit 2025 ist er Editor-in-Chief des Journal of International Criminal Justice (Oxford University Press; mit P. Gaeta) sowie Ko-Direktor des Centre for Advanced Studies Reflexive Globalisation and the Law (RefLex) an der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin (mit P. Dann). 2026 wurde er als Ordentliches Mitglied in die Berlin Brandenburgische Akademie der Wissenschaften gewählt.

Seine Forschungsschwerpunkte liegen im Strafrecht einschließlich seiner internationalen und historischen Bezüge. Florian Jeßberger ist Mitherausgeber der Schriften zum Internationalen und Europäischen Strafrecht (Nomos) sowie Co-Principal Investigator des Minerva Center for the Study of the Rule of Law under Extreme Conditions an der Universität Haifa (Israel), Mitglied des Beirats (Advisory Board) des European Center for Constitutional and Human Rights (ECCHR) in Berlin sowie Mitglied des Beirats (Comitato scientifico) des Centro studi giuridici europei sulla grande criminalità (Macrocrimes) an der Universität Ferrara (Italien).
