Ausschreibung: Assoziierte Doktorandinnen und Doktoranden


Beschreibung
Für bis zu vier Promovierende besteht die Möglichkeit, im Rahmen ihres Forschungsprojekts als assoziierte Kollegiatinnen und Kollegiaten in das DFG-Graduiertenkolleg Dynamische Integrationsordnung (DynamInt) aufgenommen zu werden. Die Teilnahme an DynamInt schließt insbesondere die Teilnahme an den wöchentlichen Kolloquien sowie den weiteren Veranstaltungen im Rahmen des Kollegs (Vortragsreihen, Sommerakademien etc.) mit ein. Assoziierte Kollegiatinnen und Kollegiaten profitieren vom Austausch mit den Promovierenden sowie Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftlern des Programms und können zudem an allen Angeboten im Rahmen des Qualifizierungskonzepts von Dynamnt teilnehmen.
Assoziierte Kollegiatinnen und Kollegiaten erhalten keine finanzielle Förderung aus dem Graduiertenkolleg.

Dauer
Die Aufenthaltsdauer der assoziierten Kollegiatinnen und Kollegiaten ist flexibel. Die Möglichkeit der Assoziation besteht sowohl für kürzere Aufenthalte als auch für die gesamte Dauer der Promotion. 

Bewerbung
Erwartet wird eine 1. Juristische Prüfung oder ein vergleichbarer ausländischer Abschluss sowie gute Kenntnisse in mindestens einer europäischen Verkehrssprache. Die Promotion sollte dem Themenbereich des Kollegs entstammen.
Die gemeinsame Arbeitssprache des Kollegs ist Deutsch, ausreichende Deutschkenntnisse sind daher eine Voraussetzung.

Es gibt keine Bewerbungsfrist. Bewerbungen können jederzeit eingereicht werden.

Call for Applications: 2 Doctoral Fellowships 

Funded by the German Academic Exchange Service (DAAD)

 

The Scholarship 

The doctoral fellowships will start on October 1, 2020 (an earlier start is possible, if no language course is required). Scholarship holders will receive a grant from the “Graduate School Scholarship Programme“ (GSSP) of the DAAD. The scholarship award comprises:

  • A monthly grant of 1,200 EUR
  • A travel allowance based on your country of origin
  • A combined health, accident and liability insurance
  • A study and research allowance
  • A rent and/or family allowance, if applicable
  • A German language course

 

The scholarship is awarded for a period of up to three years contingent upon the successful completion of each year. Under exceptional circumstances an extension for one more year may be possible.

Requirements

Applicants must hold a Diploma or a Master’s degree in Law. In exceptional cases, graduates with degrees from related fields may be considered.

Key selection criterion is the quality of the research proposal, how well it falls in with the overall thematic agenda of the doctoral programme, its innovative potential and its likeliness to contribute to existing research. Application Details

The DAAD scholarship holders will be selected through a two-step procedure. In step one, appropriate candidates are nominated for a DAAD scholarship by DynamInt, the hosting programme. In step two, the nominees (2 for each place) submit an online application with supporting documentation via the DAAD portal and the DAAD selection board will make the decision

For step one please submit the following documents in German or English as one PDF file to dynamint@rewi.hu-berlin.de 

  1. Letter of motivation specifying your academic and professional interests, your current goals, study and career plans. Furthermore, explain why you deem our doctoral programme appropriate for your particular background (not exceeding 1,000 words)

 

  1. Curriculum Vitae - with full contact details and information on your educational background and professional experience, publications and language skills

 

  1. Research proposal of the planned dissertation project, including a short abstract and a work schedule listing planned periods and destinations of research or field trips (not exceeding 5 pages)

 

  1. Two letters of recommendation, each by a university professor from your home university, issued during the last two years. Please use the DAAD form, which and can be accessed here (https://www.daad.de/medien/deutschland/stipendien/formulare/recommendation.pdf).

    The letters of recommendation can be submitted after the application deadline. 

 

  1. Certificates or translated documents:
  • School leaving certificate (College, GSEC etc.) qualifying for admission to higher education in your home country
  • Certificate of an academic degree in Law
  • Transcripts of records: Certificates of annual examinations taken at the home university
     
  1. Language certificates:
  • English (TOEFL, IELTS, Cambridge, etc. or English-taught degree)
  • German (DSD, Goethe Institut, TELC, etc. or German-taught degree); some knowledge of the German language is hghly recommended but can also be improved in the period up to the start of the scholarship.

 

  1. Any documents certifying completed practical work (internships etc.)

 

  1. A list of publications (if applicable)

The last final examination for the highest university degree (usually the Master's degree) should not have taken place more than six years ago

NB

At the time of application, candidates must not have lived in Germany for longer than 15 months

Call for applications: International PostDocs

Description
The Doctoral Training Group DynamInt encourages young researchers with a doctoral / PhD degree in law to apply for fully paid research stay for up to 6 months.
Tasks and Research Topic
The PostDoc is supposed to pursue her/his research project in the field of European Law. She/he is also expected to interact with the group of young researchers, who all work on their dissertation projects within the thematic framework of harmonization and plurality tendencies in the EU.
Duration
The research stay should last between 3 and 6 months.
Working condition

The PostDoc receives a salary of full-time position (salary grade 13) and will be provided with a fully equipped working place.

Research-Teaching ration

There is no teaching assignment to the PostDoc / However, if she/he wishes to teach classes, this is of course possible.

Residential
The Post Doc is expected to spend most or at least 2/3 of her/his time at DynamInt in Berlin or its surroundings.
Requirements

Beside a doctoral/PhD degree, applicants should at least have a solid listening comprehension in German as it serves as the lingua franca of the Training Group.
