It is exam period at the Faculty of Law. While the students of our international program, the Humboldt Master of Laws, are preparing for their exams, we are already turning our attention to preparations for the upcoming academic year.
March 31 is the application deadline for the October 2026 intake, so there is still one month left to apply!

HU-Team gewinnt den Moot Court des Bundessozialgerichts
Mit dem 1. Platz für das Team der Humboldt-Universität endete am 14. Januar 2026 der erste Moot Court des Bundessozialgerichts.
Alexa Frei, Amelie Haeberlin und Jost Roeber hatten sich im Herbst 2025 mit ihren Schriftsätzen für die Teilnahme an der finalen Verhandlungsphase qualifiziert. Sie stritten nun in einem simulierten rentenrechtlichen Berufungsverfahren vor Richterinnen und Richtern des Bundessozialgerichts um die gerechte Verteilung von Kindererziehungszeiten. Zehn Teams verschiedener Universitäten aus ganz Deutschland nahmen am Verhandlungstag in Kassel teil. Das Team unserer Fakultät überzeugte, so die Jury, mit freier Rede, authentischer Interessenvertretung und Verhandlungsgeschick. Die Siegerteams wurden mit wertvollen Buchpreisen ausgezeichnet.
Betreut und trainiert wurde unser Team von Stefan Schifferdecker, Richter am Landessozialgericht und Lehrbeauftragter an der HU. Die Fahrtkosten der Studierenden übernahm der Humboldt Moot Club e.V.
Wir gratulieren unserem HU-Team herzlich und sind auf diesen Erfolg sehr stolz!

International Dispute Resolution (IDR) LL.M.: Applications Now Open
Applications are now open for the IDR LL.M. program at Humboldt University of Berlin, with applications accepted until February 28, 2026.
The IDR LL.M. at Humboldt University of Berlin is a one year, full time specialized postgraduate master’s degree in International Dispute Resolution, with a primary focus on international arbitration, dispute resolution more broadly, and alternative dispute resolution (ADR) methods. Now in its tenth year, the program has a strong track record of successful graduates from around the world and benefits from the close involvement of leading practitioners in international arbitration, as well as internship opportunities with law firms in Berlin and other legal markets.
