Tongji University Shanghai
Tongji University in Shanghai is one of the most renowned universities in China. Since its foundation in 1907 on the initiative of the German physician Erich Paulun, there has been a lively German-Chinese cooperation in the field of science that is still alive today. A visible expression of this exchange relationship is the Sino-German College for postgraduate Studies (CDHK) located on the campus, where German lecturers and guest lecturers teach Chinese students German language, science and culture and offer German students a homestay in a foreign environment.
