ILA Business and Human Rights

In November 2023, the International Law Association (ILA) established the ILA Business and Human Rights Committee. Its purpose is to examine and analyze developments in international, transnational, and national legal systems with regard to state and corporate obligations in the field of human rights and business, as well as with regard to access to justice for victims of human rights violations (comparative law). It is chaired by Humberto Cantú Rivera, Markus Krajewski, and Carolina Olarte-Bácares (co-chairs) and Jernej Letnar Cernic, Caroline Lichuma, and Catherine Pédamon (co-rapporteurs). Professor Rühl is also a member of the committee. She will focus in particular on civil and civil procedural law aspects as well as private international law aspects of cross-border human rights protection.
