Success in Hong Kong: Vis Moot Court Team Wins the 23rd Vis Moot East!
The Vis Moot Court Team from the Faculty of Law won the 23rd Willem C. Vis East International Commercial Arbitration Moot in Hong Kong this weekend. In a high-caliber final, the team led by Fabio Herrera Aue, Lina Horn, Paul Marquordt, Felix Schnabl, Olivia Stolzenwald, and Helena Zabel prevailed against Hidayatullah National Law University from India in a field of 160 universities from around the world. In addition, the Humboldt University students received first prize for their respondent’s brief. Further awards were given for the plaintiff’s brief, as well as to Olivia Stolzenwald and Paul Marquordt for their individual oral performances.
This outstanding achievement is a testament to the team’s continuous hard work, intensive preparation, and exceptional dedication, as well as that of the two coaches, Noemi Simon and Jakob Zang. However, this success also underscores the excellent work the faculty has been doing for many years in the field of moot courts, particularly major international moot courts.
