Vis Moot 2024
DynamInt fellow Leon Theimer coached the successful team of Humboldt University of Berlin at the 32nd Willem C. Vis International Commercial Arbitration Moot and the 22nd Vis East Moot.
The Vis Moot team of Humboldt University of Berlin recently achieved outstanding success at the 32nd Willem C. Vis Moot Court in Vienna and the 22nd Vis East Moot in Hong Kong. The five-member team was supported by four dedicated coaches from the beginning of the written phase in October until the awards ceremony in Vienna in April. The competition is considered the largest and most prestigious private law moot court in the world. Each year, it brings together nearly 400 teams from over 80 jurisdictions in Vienna. The sister competition in Hong Kong hosts over 150 teams from almost 40 jurisdictions.
In both competitions, the team excelled in a highly competitive environment and advanced to the Round of 32 of the best universities. Additionally, the Humboldt University team was awarded a total of six Honourable Mentions. Four of these were awarded to individual team members for their outstanding oral pleadings. Two further Honourable Mentions were given to the team as a whole for their claimant and respondent memoranda.
