Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin - International Dispute Resolution

Specific Areas of Arbitration

The module Specific Areas of Arbitration mediates and deepens the knowledge of the legal basics and application-oriented knowledge in selected areas of (international) arbitration. The module consists of a weekly lecture series. This format allows for lectures and workshops on varied topics of particular interest being taught by distinguished practitioners and renowned scholars. In doing so, the participants are able to broaden their horizons beyond the regular syllabus, while at the same time reflecting new and controversial points of view. The lecture series covers arbitration in specific areas such as in joint ventures, m & a, disputes in the energy sector and Asian arbitration. The second unit of the module deals with specific arbitration institutions like ICC, DIS etc.

The module is completed with a written examination.
