King's College London -Somerset House.JPG

The classical college in London is the King’s College. It is true that major competitors to it have emerged in the last two centuries in the form of University College London (UCL) in the 19th century and the London School of Economics and Political Science (LSE). But King's College remains the great college, centrally located on the Thames in the heart of legal London.

With over 50 faculty members, this college too covers the full spectrum of law in all its facets, both in teaching and in research. Special focus is placed on the areas of international law and commercial law (broadly conceived). Alumni include numerous judges on both British and international courts and members of parliament. The editor of the great English standard work on contract law, the Chitty on Contracts, has been part of the teaching staff in the past, and still today the crème de la crème of commercial law and competition law teach here.
