What is the role of law and of normative orders in development processes? This question is the subject of a wide-ranging global discussion, involving legal, economic, anthropological, political and other disciplinary perspectives and types of knowledge. It is not limited to legal systems but extends to inter- and transnational legal regimes and their interactions and effects. Our research takes up these debates.
