Vis Moot: Erfolge in Wien und Hongkong
Das Vis Moot Team der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin, bestehend aus Sena Barhoum, Oskar Hartmann, Tula Marie Otrzonsek, Laura Schnitzlein und Helena Theuringer, hat in der diesjährigen Wettbewerbsrunde wieder einmal herausragende Erfolge erzielt.
In Wien konnte das Team in einem Feld von fast 400 teilnehmenden Universitäten in die Runde der besten 32 Teams einziehen. Darüber hinaus wurden Tula Marie Otrzonsek und Helena Theuringer jeweils mit einer Honorable Mention für ihre besonders überzeugenden mündlichen Leistungen ausgezeichnet. In Hongkong, wo mehr als 150 Universitäten am Start waren, erreichte das Team ebenfalls die Runde der besten 32. Für den Kläger- und Beklagtenschriftsatz erhielt das Team darüber hinaus jeweils eine Honorable Mention. Zudem wurden Sena Barhoum und Oskar Hartmann für ihre herausragenden mündlichen Plädoyers jeweils mit einer Honorable Mention ausgezeichnet.
Der Lehrstuhl gratuliert dem Team ganz herzlich und bedankt sich nicht nur bei den Coaches, sondern auch bei seinen zahlreichen Förderern, ohne die die Teilnahme an beiden Wettbewerben nicht möglich gewesen wäre!
Wer Interesse daran hat, internationale juristische Fragestellungen zu bearbeiten, auf globaler Bühne zu argumentieren und Teil eines engagierten Teams zu werden, ist herzlich eingeladen, sich für das nächste Vis Moot Team der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin zu bewerben. Die Bewerbungsphase für die kommende Saison startet in Kürze. Details zur ersten Infoveranstaltung folgen bald!
Vis Moot: Successes in Vienna and Hongkong
The Vis Moot team of Humboldt University of Berlin, comprising Sena Barhoum, Oskar Hartmann, Tula Marie Otrzonsek, Laura Schnitzlein, and Helena Theuringer, again achieved outstanding results in this year's competition. In Vienna, the team successfully demonstrated its abilities in a highly competitive environment and reached the Round of 32. In addition, Tula Marie Otrzonsek and Helena Theuringer were each awarded an Honourable Mention for their particularly impressive oral performances. In Hongkong, the team also advanced to the Round of 32 and additionally received Honourable Mentions for both its memoranda for claimant and respondent. Furthermore, Sena Barhoum and Oskar Hartmann were each awarded an Honourable Mention for their outstanding oral pleadings.

Anyone interested in engaging with international legal issues, arguing on a global stage, and becoming part of a dedicated team is warmly invited to apply for the next Vis Moot team of Humboldt-University of Berlin. Humboldt Master of Laws (LL.M.)
Humboldt University is launching an English-language LL.M. program and we would be grateful if you could share this information with interested people in your community.
While Humboldt University has offered a variety of Master-programs in German for many years, this will be the first general LL.M. program in English. The program will provide students with an in-depth understanding of German and European law, enriched with and very much in the context of global perspectives.
The program will start in a year from now with the academic year of 2025-2026. It addresses graduates from all over the world with strong foundational knowledge in their respective legal system and at least one year of professional experience. Applications for the program will be possible from 1 to 31 March 2025.
