Law in Transformation
Contact: Dr. Johan Horst, LL.M. (Georgetown)
The project law in transformations assumes that the current concepts of the Anthropocene, of Post-/Transhumanism, and of a society of technical objects depict three dimensions of a foundational shift in the form of law: The essence of legal normativity can no longer be defined in opposition to natural, living, technical processes, for legal normativity has a transformative role in the design of nature, life, and the technical/digital. The aim of the project is to analyze this foundational shift in the form of law using an interdisciplinary perspective and to critically engage with the resulting normative challenges.
