Lukas Schaupp

Short biography:
Lukas is a doctoral researcher at the Law Department of the European University Institute under the supervision of Professor Peter Drahos, where he also coordinates the International Economic Law and Policy Working Group (IELP WG). He has been a visiting researcher at both the European Parliamentary Research Service (EPRS) and the University of Wisconsin–Madison Law School. Prior to his doctoral studies, he worked in the External Relations unit of the Brussels-based think tank Centre for European Policy Studies (CEPS). He has also served as a research assistant to Professor Gráinne de Búrca. Lukas holds an LL.M. in European Law (with distinction) from the University of Edinburgh and a B.A. in European Studies from the University of Passau. He is a member of the German Council on Foreign Relations (DGAP) and currently serves as Managing Editor of the European Journal of Legal Studies (EJLS).
