Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin - International Dispute Resolution

Exams

Students have to pass five written exams throughout the entire academic year.

There are four written exams at the end of the first (winter) semester (Arbitration, Investment Law and Arbitration, Private International Law and Specific Areas of Arbitration) and one written exam at the end of the second (summer) semester (ADR Methods).

Another mandatory requirement of the IDR LL.M. is the completion of a master thesis. In order to complete the program the students have to prepare (research and draft) and subsequently defend the Master Thesis in an oral exam with a chosen supervisor.
