Eloquence and rhetorical skills are a pre-requisite for academic success and professional advancement. But what is rhetoric? What are the key rhetorical techniques available? How can one practice them to her or his advantage? This workshop helps participants to answer these questions. This workshop is divided into five parts over two days. A first section focuses on a general introduction to the idea of rhetoric and its conceptual background. A second section explores different rhetorical techniques and their objectives. A third section provides an opportunity to individually prepare to translate theory into practice. A fourth section gives the opportunity to practice and receive feedback together with the other participants. Finally, a fifth section of the workshop consists of tailormade and one-to-one sessions for individual practice and feedback.
