International Law Association (ILA): Business and Human Rights Committee
In November 2023, the International Law Association (ILA) established the ILA Business and Human Rights Committee. Its purpose is to examine and analyze developments in international, transnational and national legal systems with regard to governmental and corporate obligations in the area of human rights and the economy and with regard to access to justice for victims of human rights violations. It is led by Humberto Cantú Rivera, Markus Krajewski and Carolina Olarte-Bácares (Co-Chairs) and Jernej Letnar Cernic, Caroline Lichuma and Catherine Pédamon (Co-Rapporteurs). Professor Rühl is also a member of the committee. She will deal in particular with aspects of cross-border human rights protection under civil law and civil procedure law as well as international private law.
